Chapter 2 - All Aboard.

*Update 1/9 7:00am- The find815 website no longer has our new found Black Rock website on Sam's laptop. It's now been replaced with a web site called Sunda Stories from findoutpedia.com which details a time line of "List of notable ships and planes lost in the Sunda Trench".
  • Lots of interesting things on the time line but I saw this and thought Berlin (In 1981- Pleasure craft captained by West German business tycoons disappeared). Could this be our Berlin tie-in per the billboards?
  • There is also a mention of Amelia Earhart (that someone searching for her disapeared).
  • Also on the time line: "In addition to these, there have been reports of high incidence of unexplained electronics failure in the area. Compasses have also been know to behave erratically."
  • There are again two missing images from the Sunda Trench site (perhaps to reflect the poor internet connection?). -Ange

The website has updated with 2 new emails and a new website and as you can see above, Sam's desk has changed to reflect his new surroundings!

The first new email is to Trace asking for yet another favor.

  • Sam is after information on Mr Talbot.
  • His first name appears to be OSCAR.
  • Sam believes Mr.Talbot is old money and a company man.
The second email is a reply to his application for employment with Austral Air. A person named Isaac Chapman replied saying they have no positions but will keep his file on record.

Finally, have a website on the Black Rock (provided by Trace? Maybe, we don 't know). The website tells us stuff we already know from the previous experience. But to recap:

  • The Black Rock is one on three 19th century slave ships thought to be owned by "The New World Sea Traders".
  • Usually sailed from Portsmouth, England to Africa and then on to the Americas or the Pacific Ocean.
  • On it's last voyage it left Portsmouth and went to the South Indian Ocean where it collected gold from Indonesia and Papua New Guinea to exchange for Slaves in Africa.
  • However on leaving that area, instead of heading west to Africa as expected it headed in an easterly direction and was never seen again (well until Lost anyway).

There are two missing images from the bottom of the article that read "image not loaded, check network settings". Perhaps they will turn up later

First!
Well...it'd behelpful if I could get the website to load!

FYSB said...

Wow Jess, you are ON IT.

maven said...

I read everything! It seems it's Oscar Talbot and Sam's asking good ole' Tracey to find out info about him. The way Sam describes him would kind of tie in with the Talbots connected with Cooper. "He comes from old money."

Seems like the Black Rock website confirms what Jess previously found that the Christiane I might be after the gold.

It's funny how Sam asks Tracey (in a p.s.) how the Black Rock research is going...is she losing her touch. How did he get the Black Rock website?

Fenris said...

I think Sam got fed up waiting for Tracey and just googled it. Gotta love the idea that there would actually be a site called..

www.slaveshipsearch.com

Actually not even a .com.

Btw, I've updated the front page.

Fenris said...

What he needs to do next is go to www.oscartalbotsearch.com and he's away. :)

Ange said...

On Sam's new desktop, it looks like there is an image overlaid on Sam's laptop, which has a swanky internet card BTW.

shellma said...

Seriously...I'm so effin tired of find815.
I STILL can't get in!
it halfway loads and then the "Sam's Desk" greys out and I can't click on it. Then nothing else loads.

maven said...

Sorry, Shell...it's so frustrating!

Ange: I see the overlay all over Sam's desk. Can't make out what it is. Someone with better computer skills maybe can highlight it.

shellma said...

I wonder if they weren't supposed to be released yet and are fixing it now and blocking people out of that area.

Fenris said...

Just got to mention. Portsmouth is well known as a den of theives and nutters. I know, I used to live there. Lol.

Southamptons much better. :)

Carol Dunstan said...

ok, things are starting to make a lot more sense to me now... it seemed really odd to me that Sam would find the fake plane (which hasn't even come up in his world yet... there's been no announcement there, it's only Naomi and her freighter that have claimed that from what I recall) within the first week, or spend the next 5 weeks in the sunda Trench. I think just like Rachel he's going into this with very little to go on, but each little discover leads to something else. But I've got no idea where he might go after this... maybe they find a whole heap of Apollo bars miraculously stored safely on a duplicate Black Rock at the bottom of the Sunda and he flys back to Sydney to distribute them...

I wonder if they've taken the Black Rock website down. I don't even have it listed on Sam's computer. Is there something you have to do to find it?

Thanks for all the well wishes for my 4 year old!

Hi Scoutpost!

find815.com is acting weird for me. The Black Rock info is gone in Sam's websites and now I have "Sunda Stories" (a list of notable ships and planes lost in the Sunda Trench.

Scoutpost said...

Hey Codysmom-
Yes I have Sunda Stories, but no Black Rock. The weird thing is that if you go under "my progress" it shows that I still have 1 website undiscovered. Strange.

BTW I love your avatar of Hurley fainting!

Black Swan said...

Thanks!

My progress shows I have all available things discovered, but the Black Rock website has disappeared. very glitchy!

maven said...

Me, too! Now I have Sunda Stories from findoutpedia.com. Interesting after the list of missing/shipwrecks there is is: "In addition to these, there have been reports of (unknown word) incidences of unexplained electronics failure in the area. Compasses have also been known to behave erratically."

Also, there's a mention of Amelia Earhart...someone searching for her disappeared, too.

Unknown said...

I'm not seeing a Black Rock website. I'm seeing a "Sunda Stories" entry on www.findoutpedia.com. Cute.

Except now that I had to leave and come back due to the site locking up, the Sunda Stories page isn't loading.

You can't spell ARGH!!! without ARG.

maven said...

Interesting also that Sunda Stories doesn't mention the Black Rock.

Unknown said...

Whoops. Didn't see the handful of other comments saying the same thing I just did. Oh well.

TPT...B? FU? I just don't know which way to go.

Black Swan said...

Check this out.....

"Earthquakes with magnitudes M>7 occurred along the arc from the Andaman Islands to southern Sumatra in 1797, 1843, 1881 and 1941. All generated tsunami with the 1881 tsunami producing a one metre runup on the Indian coast, but none of these tsunami are known to be basin-wide. While the most common cause of tsunami are large earthquakes, tsunami can also be generated by large volcanic eruptions and by LARGE SUBMARINE LANDSLIDES." (emphasis, mine)

I found this while looking for 1881 geological incidents since the Black Rock disappeared in that year.

Large submarine landslides???????????

Unknown said...

You might be confusing submarine-as-in-submersible-watercraft with submarine-as-in-underwater. If you're not, then I'm missing the intrigue.

Black Swan said...

Maven, I noticed Emelia Earhart, too. Was her maiden name Talbot, by any chance?

maven said...

I emailed the Admins with this latest website info.

Black Swan said...

Kyle, I'll admit I'm confused (It's really late here... ha ha)

It just made me laugh-thinking of Locke blowing up the sub....

maven said...

LOL, Codysmom. Apparently, Amelia never married. It's her maiden name. That would have been cool if there was a Talbot in her family, thought! LOL

Black Swan said...

Ahhhhh, now I get it.... submarine, as in sub (under) marine (ocean) land slides.... like the plates moving....

geeeeez, I've really got to go to bed.....:)

Here's some stuff from the old TLE Timeline (which I kept): A page from a manuscript about Magnus Hanso and his trading company.

maven said...

I don't know how that helps (if at all), but it's the only thing still active as a link on the timeline!

Black Swan said...

That's funny, maven. I actually stumbled across that page in my searches today.

I don't know how Sam expects Tracey to find info on "Oscar Talbot". I haven't really found anything. It's much easier to find info on the Black Rock-thanks to TLE:)

Black Swan said...

I also came across this today:

"The above report for 1881 Tsunami could as well be true for the 2004 since the location is almost identical and impact strikingly similar."

I wonder if they will address the Dec 2004 tsunami at all on the show?

Black Swan said...

well, g'nite to anyone who's still here.....

Ange said...

Good morning, the main page is updated to reflect the removal of black rock and addition of th eSunda Stories.

Also, my Sam's Desk is back to the way it was, not the one we saw last night (7am).

Also, also I thought this was interesting: In 1981- Pleasure craft captained by West German business tycoons disappeared.
Could this be our Berlin tie-in per the billboards?

memphish said...

Well I was going to say look what I missed by turning in early last night, but it looks like all I missed was messed up and frustrating things.

6 am Central seems to be an excellent time to get on Find815 though and what I have is:

Web page on Sunda Trench -- 2 more unreleased web pages to come -- notice that the date on it stops in 2003; I think this helps nail down our timeline as pre-12/26/04 tsunami; the German reference could also be our Berlin tie in, but Berlin was in East Germany, with the free West zone only.

2 new emails -- one from Austral Air; one to Tracey re Oscar Talbot and for some reason it showed I hadn't read the no subject email, so I had to click it again as well.

As for Oscar Talbot Sam's guesses about company man and old East Coast money reminds me of the Widmore brothers in Bad Twin. The Black Sheep Brother was involved in Black Pearl cultivation in Northeast Australia and might have gone to Indonesia as well. I can't remember.

memphish said...

Here's the link to the Lostpedia page on the Black Rock with the info. we learned in TLE. It's the same info. that briefly appeared on Sam's laptop.

memphish said...

This page has the shipwreck info.

Unknown said...

i think we can conclude with some confidence that the reason the Black Rock ended up on the middle of the LOST island is because of the tsunami caused by the eruption of the Krakatoa volcano in Indonesia.
The new Black Rock website says that its final voyage was from Indonesia in the 1880s and the Krakatoa volcano erupted in 1883 so it makes sense.
We still dont know why "it was heading east rather than west" but thats another matter...
what do u guys think about all this?

Fenris said...

Hah. They really are messing up with the web site. You'd think when they try and do the experience to be almost entirely from one website, they could at least get that site right!

Okay so it was a bit pointless dropping the Black Rock page, I can only assume we are meant to see that along with an email back from Trace. But that means we'll have a disapointing website reveal later on. *sigh* Not even as if there was anything new in that.

The new site is a bit OTT with vehicles known to have gone missing in the area. I find it hard to believe something like that would go virtually unknown.

Btw, I'm still seeing the new desk set up. I think the change back was just a glitch.

The missing pictures I think are meant to help demonstrate the difficulty in getting a good internet connection on the ship. So pressumably when he's back on dry land the pictures will appear. Maybe.

Ange said...

Agustin said...We still dont know why "it was heading east rather than west" but thats another matter...

I think that's what this piece from the Sunda Stories: Compasses have also been know to behave erratically might be trying to make us ponder.

I've been thinking about the German party that went missing in 1981, and I looked on Lostpedia to see if there is a connection with the island and 1981. There was a minor notation on the blastdoor map about a December 7th – H.G. (Hanso Group) Delegation inspection Here. I'm not sure that it means anything, and I know the location of Berlin doesn't really jive with West Germany, but for some reason that date stood out for me on the Sunda timeline. I guess it's the "business tycoon" thing that keeps poking at me.

Also agreed memphish, I'll have to dig out Bad Twin, because this is really ringing some bells with that plotline.

Fenris, you can update my update as you see fit :D...I have no idea the rhyme or reason to why we all see different things on find815!

Tess315 said...

Looks like I'm not the only one looking up the old Black Rock info.
When I first started watching Lost I thought maybe the plane ended up in the Dragon's Triangle. But if it ended up in the Sunda Trench that's night quite the right area.

http://paranormalinsider.com/2007/09/here_there_be_dragons.php

I think I started this research because in the first season when Locke comes along and gives Sayid his compass saying he didn't need it anymore and the compass didn't work right.
Sorry that's not a clickabe link but it wouldn't accept it because the tag was broken even with tinyurl.

Tess315 said...

that should be not not night quite right. I think I spent five minutes trying to make a link and forgot to proof read.

Scoutpost said...

Interesting thing about that Black Rock website. I never saw it and only saw the Sunda Stories, but last night my progress said I still had a website undiscovered- this morning it shows I've found all available things. Go figure.

Oh- Good morning all!

This does have some similarities to Bad Twin. I like the way this game seems to be going, just wish it would move along a little faster.

Agustin: See previous posts about the 1881 Bay of Bengal earthquake/tsunami. I don't think Krakatoa eruption is the cause of the Black Rock's grounding.

PS you don't have to answer that :)

For everyone who did not see, I posted link to NationalGeographic last night on the last post.
Kyle, you are correct. Krakatoa was in 1883 or something...but there was a earthquake causing Tsunami that registered over 7.0 in 1881. I think that is how the Black Rock got in the middle of our loverly island.

Off-topic, sorta:

It's up on my iPod (I've been in an electronic/dance mood lately), and I'm reminded that this is my favorite song-that-makes-me-think-of-LOST.

Jem, "They" (and I swear I never knew it was on The O.C., I heard it in Gap...is that any better?)

Think of it from Juliet's perspective, or maybe a Juliet/Sun dialogue.

Who made up all the rules?
We follow them like fools.
Believe them to be true;
Don't care to think them through/

I'm sorry, so sorry.
I'm sorry it's like this.
I'm sorry, so sorry.
I'm sorry we do this.

And it's ironic too...
'Cos what we tend to do
Is act on what they say,
And then it is that way.

I'm sorry, so sorry
I'm sorry it's like this,
I'm sorry, so sorry
I'm sorry we do this,

Who are they?
Where are they?
How can they possibly
Know all this?
Who are they?
Where are they?
How can they possibly
Know all this?

Do you see what I see?
Why do we live like this?
Is it because it's true:
That ignorance is bliss.

Who are they?
Where are they?
How do they
Know all this?
I'm sorry, so sorry.
I'm sorry it's like this.

Do you see what I see?
Why do we live like this?
Is it because it's true:
That ignorance is bliss.

Who are they?
Where are they?
How can they
Know all this?
And I'm sorry, so sorry.
I'm sorry we do this.

And yes, thanks for being spoiler sensitive, shellma. I have been diligent in being spoiler-free for S4 and it's nice to know I can come here safely!

Unknown said...

jess: Yep. The Bay of Bengal earthquake is the one you dug up yesterday. That's what I was trying to reference. BR disappeared in 1881, and Krakatoa was indeed in 1883.

Tess315 said...

Well 8 and 1/2 hours to go. I wonder how many people will get on to the site this time?

maven said...

Morning all: Everything seems to be in order on my Find815 for once! Amazing, isn't it?

They do seem to be harping on the electronic anomalies around the Sunda Trench a lot. Ockhman mentioned it, and the Sunda Stories makes a statement abut it. The backward compass on Maxwell Group maybe another mention (although I heard it was a standard logo found elsewhere). So it will be interesting if Mr. Talbot's extra equipment will be able to work around their instruments going erratic as they near the Trench.

Unknown said...

maven: You heard correctly on the Maxwell logo existing elsewhere. It's a stock image, and from the looks of it, ABC might not even have paid for it properly. The swirl is the watermark for the site that sells it. The compass points for E and W are reversed on the stock original.

Sadly, it would appear that any information that we might glean from that logo is suspect, since ABC didn't create it from scratch for the purpose of this ARG.

maven said...

Yep, Kyle, I did see that. Thanks. Still TPTB or TPTFU are setting up something going terrible wrong when they get to the Sunda Trench...

shellma said...

Just FYI.. I lived on Papua for 2 yrs. The island is 2nd largest in the world and is divided in half. Part being under Dutch Rule and West Papua, where I lived, is Indonesian. West Papua is one of the least inhabitated places in the world. It is also known for it's gold and copper mining. (Hubby worked at one of the worlds largest mines there)It is so primitive there are still stoneage natives roaming the forests. It also has huge, rugged mountains in the middle. Indonesia is made up of thousands of islands, some are totally uninhabited. Ambon, that was mentioned had a tidal wave while I lived there that wiped out most of the island and killed hundreds.

And too funny about "www.oscartalbotsearch.com"!

All this Black Rock intrigue, if followed thru to an end, will be one of the big payoffs for us for hanging in there from TLE-1, IMHO. I love creepy history as much as creepy science, and the Black Rock story is mixing both. :-)

Amelia Earhart was married to George Putnam.

Great comments everyone!!!

I did, however, just post in in Photobucket . It definitely looks to me like there is a face on the right hand side.

Patch said...

Just wanted to say hi to all. I was formerly patchwork3930 in TLE days.

Are we assuming that flight 815 somehow ended up flying NW sometime during the flight out of Sydney, towards the Indian Ocean instead of NE across the Pacific? IF the island will be affected by the Boxing Day 2004 tsunami, then it must be somewhere in the Indian Ocean. We are being led towards the theory that the Black Rock may be in the Sunda Trench, but we know it's not there. I'm dying for Sam to reach the Sunda Trench to find out just what IS there!

Sorry to go off topic for a sec, but I just have to congratulate Maven on becoming a grandma to the beautiful Elizabeth! She's a little doll Maven, you must be thrilled. :)

Jess: Yes there seems to be something overlaid on Sam's desk. It almost looks like concentric rings to me (maybe indicating an earthquake?).

Patch: OMG, so good to hear from you. Thanks for the congrats for me being a Grandma! Been busy with baby quilts! LOL

This whole storyline definitely seems to be leading us towards the Black Rock, the Sunda Trench, Flight 815 all being in the same place. Could the Christiane I be our freighter? (I know, it doesn't really work in time-wise.) But it will still remained to be seen if it's THE Black Rock and THE Flight 815!

RE the extra e-mails:

I just logged into find815.com for the first time in a while. I had solved the circuit activity but that's the last thing I did. I hadn't checked e-mail but I was pretty sure I had finished chapter 1 and saw all green.

So when I logged in just now I saw that chapter 1 was partially red. Evidently those first couple e-mails were tacked onto the end of chapter 1.

This ARG sure is different. I can do it at my own pace even if I miss the release moment and I can do it by myself. Instead of reading what everyone is finding first, I go do it myself and then check in.

Another change is that balloon fairy is now interested in playing with mommy's hair so I get "styled" while checking clues. Not all change is bad. :-D

memphish said...

Patch, That is very on topic. It came up after last season after Naomi revealed 815 had been found off Java. I spoke eloquently (well, ranted) about it at the time. Finding 815 in the Sunda Trench would mean a)the Pilot lied to everyone about where they were flying and continued to lie to Jack, Kate and Charlie in The Pilot or b) the Island has moved from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean or c) some other explanation.

How Oceanic or anyone else could explain finding 815 so drastically off course is something I'm looking forward to finding out. Rogue pilot could certainly be that explanation like that Egypt Air plane that people think the pilot downed because he was suicidal.

maven said...

Yes, Memphish! Someone will have a whole lot of 'splaining to do with Flight 815 being sooooo of course. Either we all were misled from the beginning with the Pilot's statements or something more sinister was going on to get our Losties to this particular island wherever it is.

Patch said...

Memphish, that could mean that 815 was never meant to fly to LA at all, something I never even considered before. I like it.

Twinkle said...

Sounds intriguing! Baby quilting! Sounds like you're really enjoying yourself, Maven!

jess4ua said...

Maven - yeah, I see the rings you are talking about, could def be the plot of an earthquake. I just added another to pic to Photobucket.
This time I circled the image that I think might be a face. Let me know what you think.

It is strange that both flight 815 and the black rock started out going one way, and now TPTB might be hinting to us that they ended up somewhere totally different. What could that possibly mean? Does the island itself have some kind of pull? Really, the whole thing about the black rock saying they were headed to Africa, and then leaving the other way from Paupa is driving me crazy.

memphish said...

I was just thinking though that to fly from Sydney to Java the direct route would take you over the continent of Australia where surely at some point someone would have looked out and said "hey, why are we flying over land?" Of course, the pilot could have gotten tricky and flown the whole route over water, but if I were just an off course pilot I would have disabled my co-pilot and gone the fast way.

In sum, I think the Island is in the Pacific and the Sunda Trench and any Flight 815 in it is just a dodge to get people, probably the group that will ultimately turn out to be the Freighter People, away from the Island.

memphish said...

Ooh, Jess I kind of like that idea. We know Desmond couldn't escape the Island's pull.

Ange said...

JESS! I'm here...I'll be "officially" on in ten min. Oh and I kinda see a face, but I need to get the orig screen grab and see if I can enlarge it more. I swear I have geriatric eyeballs!

Twinkle said...

So is it the whole "whirlpool" thing where it catches you, sucks you in, and spits you out into a whole different landscape? Or else if Ben's stranger deterrents are in effect you just end up dead?

maven said...

Jess: That almost looks like a freaky, ghostly skull (in a way it reminds me of DarkUFO's logo?!?!)

Patch said...

I can't remember, was it night time when the flight left Sydney? If it was there's not a lot between Sydney and Indonesia habitation wise so there wouldn't be much to see in the darkness, but I'm tending to agree that the island is in the Pacific, in which case it won't be affected by the tsunami. How deep is the Sunda Trench anyway? Too deep for divers but not too deep for a camera to be lowered down to see what is there?

Patch said...

I can't make out a face there but my eyes aren't what they used to be. *lol*

Ange said...

Mave it's a game on the Lost section of ABC just found it.

Patch said...

That Amelia Earhart thing is SO spooky!

memphish said...

Is it from "any time?"

lost2010 said...

You get a trivia game about the black rock at ABC. I finished it and got the clue. Is it okay to put it here or is that a spoiler?

Dazzedelf said...

this time you get a phone number that appears to be english, instead of an american toll free number.

Capcom said...

Sooooooooo, maybe Sayid and Hurley really did hear a "live" Glenn Miller radio show that night on the beach when the stars were backwards? :o)

lost2010 said...

It is starting to look like an 'anytime' situation isn't it?

Twinkle said...

I got in easy. I had it up from before and it just let me play. I was expecting more trouble. Why in the middle of the video clip did I have to click on the screen to get Sam to fiddle with the radio and hear the Amelia Earhart thing? Did everyone else have to do that too?

maven said...

I got the 4th clue word on ABC. Where do you enter it? I click on Story so Far and My Progress...nothing.

Dazzedelf said...

yeah twinkle i had to click the radio, i was expecting it, cuz in chapter 1 i had to click the window to stop it from slamming in the wind. considering calling the international phone number thing, but I really don't want to pay for making an internation call :(

espiao said...

Penny´s number 02079460893

Dazzedelf said...

maven you have to do the hidden clue hunt for chapter 2, when you find the "season 4 clue' there will be a spot to punch in the keyword. to get to the hidden clue part, click on story so far there will be a quick link to it.

Megsy said...

Has anyone tried calling the number yet?

Dazzedelf said...

i tried to call it from my cel phone and they wanted me to enter a calling card or credit card number, to complete the call, i declined.

espiao said...

could the password be an address ???

Capcom said...

The Earhart thing is also creepy considering the Amelia at Juliet's muffin party.

Ange said...

I'll call the # what do you think is it UK, should I add the 011 44?

Patch said...

We need Fenris to call it from England. I hope the next clue hunt number will be a Aussie one. :)

Twinkle said...

I think it's an address too but I'm having a hard time digging anything up on it. This is the only reference that seems slightly relevant and it's not very.

The Rag which made the Victorian bull of taste see red was Whistler's practice of giving his pictures names that suggested their "abstract" qualities, instead of the usual storytelling titles. He was among the first to formulate openly and to defend the importance of what has now become a consciously accepted quality of art.
Cheyenne Walk, London, May, 1878
But this seems like a magazine devoted to art or something so I'm not putting much stock in it. At first I got excited that it might be a London address but I couldn't google anything there.

I've done so much reading up on the trivia topic that was pretty darn easy. Yes the password does seem to be an address. I wonder where.

I'm so glad I didn't have to wait until tomorrow morning to do this. Yeah!

Anyone remember if the Widmores from The Bad Twin hailed from Somerset? I remember they were English of some sort. Why would a book of Penny's be in Sam's bunk. As a total sidenote, that's the biggest freakin' room for a stowaway on a boat ever. My husband was THE ship's surgeon on an aircraft carrier and he had 1/2 that space to share with one other person.

Patch said...

The password I had is a name. Should I write it down here or not yet?

Twinkle said...

There were two different ones last time. I'd love to know what the other one is this time. But is it a spoiler?

Ange said...

patch-e-mail it...I'm making a new post now.

memphish said...

Did people enter the different words last time? Did you get the same thing or different things?

Patch said...

Ok Ange!

Twinkle said...

NP. Someone posted the name to DarkUFO.

Twinkle said...

Last time the password was either Matthew or Abbadon (right?) and the result was the same when it was entered. This time the passwords are something that looks like an address or a name which relates to season 4.

maven said...

It's interesting when you do the Black Rock quiz again on ABC.com, the questions change.

Ange said...

Okay I have a text in to Dissonation to make sure that is indeed a UK number. If it is I will call it, but it is 3 am there, I would hate to jolt someone out of sleep.

memphish said...

I hope someone will call that number soon to see if we get Penny's voicemail. Anyone remember what her voice sounds like?

Patch said...

Sent Ange. :)

Maven, that is interesting.

memphish said...

I'm impressed they could come up with more than 8 questions from that lot of info. Must be a teacher or something driving this ARG. ;)

winged_eel said...

Hey everyone, did anyone get through to the number? I get a "Number does not exist message". I tried dropping the first 0 and everything.

Tess315 said...

There's a season 4 spoiler on Lostpedia on the Aussie clue word. I didn't read it just seen the link when I googled the clue.

jess4ua said...

Looks like there are overlays on all of the sections of Sam's room in the clue hunt. Wonder if any of these will ever mean anything?

maven said...

I saw what that other clue was. It was a name. It might be considered spoilery though. It's an iffy call.

Tess315 said...

By the way if you do google it there are other links that spell it out more clearly. Be careful if you don't want to be spoiled.

maven said...

I don't know if it's really spoilery. It's obviously there for a reason, and it's ingame. I think TPTB are setting something up for S4.

maven said...

It also seems that everyone is having trouble with Penny's number. It has been dialed various ways, and no one has gotten anything yet.

Tess315 said...

maven
You're right I'm just not sure what some people may consider a spoiler and don't want my searching ruin season four for anyone.

jess4ua said...

Oh yeah, on the game on abc.com did Trace say that the Black Rock was a slave ship in the late 1900's and disappeared in 1881. Now, I am no math scholar but...........
Maybe just an error?

winged_eel said...

I dialed +44 20 7946 0893 ..which I think is the correct way and Skype says it does not exist. Oh well, maybe it will be up tomorrow

jess4ua said...

Also, Ange wants to know if anyone has dialed the number using 01144 as a prefix.

winged_eel said...

In Skpe it does that for you, so in effect I guess that is what I dialed.

Capcom said...

RE: Late 1900s...she was probably supposed to say late 19th Century. Oops.

Ange said...

NEW POST!

maven said...

Well, the Amelia Earhart news story is an interesting element. We always thought Amelia was Juliet's Book Club!

Seems they've lifted all the info from Wikipedia: The last known transmission was at 8:43 AM on July 6, 1937 taken by the US Coast Guard.

Joseph Finchum said...

Hey every one,

Just finished everything... it's hard to do when you have to switch back and forth between browsers just to play along.

I was wondering, shouldn't there maybe be a mention of a certain french womans boat of scientist disappearing in 1998 as well as the plane crash on the list of Sundra incidents... just something to ponder.

I'm enjoying this little hunt so far but, to tell you the truth, it's not as immersive, as creepy or as fun as TLE.
