Chapter 5- E-mail, Website, and a Voicemail

*Update 1/30- You might want to go over to ITE and see what Speaker has for us (Thanks Maven for the mail about this). **Update- Thanks to Memphish for linking in comments. ABC has an Oceanic Airlines press release today. ~Ange

New Picture

Voicemail

Tracey is calling Sam to let him know she is worried about him (she also sounds a little sleepy). She wants to make sure he's okay as he hasn't seemed right lately. She reminds him he's, "...not alone."

E-Mail

Sent Items:

Subject: Employment Opportunity Recipient Austral Air

  • Sam is responding to their offer of employment, but declining as "one or two things have come up". Also, he's not sure he wants to work for an airline.

Subject: Message Recipient: Tracey R

  • He apologizes for not getting in touch with her but something has "come up" for him, and he has a "bad feeling" about what's going to happen.

Inbox:

Subject: Employment Opportunity Sender: Austral Air

  • They are informing Sam that a position may have come up that would work for him, and would like him to come to Sydney. It's signed Isaac Chapman

Subject: [no subject] Sender: Unknown

  • The number: 411151057 appears.
  • Thanks to Maven for e-mailing about this. 411151057 translates to ALL IS LOST. WeBB at Dark UFO figured this out using 1337 (leet).

Website

The site is Ocean Forecasts and it is a weather report for the Sunda Trench for the next 24 hours.

  • It reports Southerly gales and rough or very rough seas that may be occasionally high.
  • Thanks to Memphish in comments for the link to the Beaufort Scale which is used for measuring gales.
  • http://www.oceanforecasts.com is not a live site at this time.

I'm left with some questions, how about you? 1. What's so important about this correspondence with Austral Air? 3. Could that weather report be any more all encompassing? It does look like there's some rough weather ahead though.

Haven't done this in awhile. Am I first?

Tess315 said...

Any ideas on the numbers yet?

Ange said...

Sorry about missing the voicemail there gang. I had no red square in my progress for it. Main page is updated.

Patch said...

Thanks Ange, That was super quick! :)

maven said...

I think Tracey is coming on to him. LOL

I hope the seas are not rough tomorrow...I get seasick easily!

Patch said...

Yes we have two sets of numbers.

411151057 & 68945, with maybe 24 before the 68945.

Tess315 said...

Tracey does have a very sexy voice doesn't she.

Patch said...

Me too Maven! I was so sick on our honeymoon crossing to Tasmania.

Beverly said...

Someone at DarkUFO figured out the numbers 411151057. If they were right, I'm not all that excited about it. It isn't revealing much of anything.

Tess315 said...

I was wondering if the forecast numbers might figure in somehow.
But I have no clue what to do with them. So I'll sit back and wait till the decoders figure it out.

maven said...

Ange: I just emailed you re the numbers being figured out.

Ange said...

Can you e-mail that info Lostit?

maven said...

What do we think the offer of a job coming through from Austral Air? Does it just show that Sam (thanks to his investment in the box company) has no money worries now and he's going to stick with this until the bitter end (hopefully in S4).

Carol Dunstan said...

something just occured to me... Sam said Sonya likes to be straight forward. Well, coded emails aren't very straight forward are they?

I can't make any sense of the numbers from the email... not sure if we should be considering the weather page but what the hey...

maven said...

Also, why was he looking up the weather report for the next 24 hours? Does that mean they need calm seas to do a visual search?

memphish said...

Great question Maven. It's not as if Sam's been concerned with the weather before now. My guess is that if they have some sort of submersible or if they want to put divers in the water seeing as they are a salvage ship then they need relatively calm seas. Doesn't look like they'll get it in the next 24 hours.

Patch said...

Maven, I was wondering about the job offer too. Surely there must be some real significance to it.

Carol Dunstan said...

maven, I think part of it is Sam can't give a firm date on when he'll be able to attend any interview, so I can kind of understand his reply. I have been wondering if the job and mum stuff are supposed to be adding to the normalcy of it all.

As for the weather thing, part of me says it's nothing but part of me finds it odd that things are refered to with the gale/Beaufort scale... I'm used to the wind being refered to as "gale force" followed by a speed

Patch said...

Or maybe they are just worried about getting wrecked on the reef if they are staying to do some searching around?

lost2010 said...

Looks like a social security number to me. But I doubt that's it. I guess I'll hit darkufo to see what they've got.

Carol Dunstan said...

LOL, if you google 41151057 you get two results - Oceanic Conspiracies and Dark's find815 blog :D

memphish said...

Carol, the brief googling I did revealed that to be a pretty standard marine forecast as opposed to a land based forecast. I actually found that exact forecast, but it was for Iceland.

lost2010 said...

Ah, not too exciting but makes perfect sense I guess.

Carol Dunstan said...

I did of course mean 411151057

Carol Dunstan said...

ah well there you go... I was thinking about how I am coastal so it shouldn't be too different but then when they start on the actual sea/ocean part of the forcast I tune out ;)

maven said...

FYI: Over at Dark's, an ad appeared that said Oceanic Airlines is going to make an announcement Thursday (after LOST, during "Eli Stone" premiere -- which looks pretty lame.)

Erin said...

I took the Austral Air stuff to be a peripheral indication of the way in which Sam's 'quest' has consumed his life.

Erin said...

Also, Maven, I found the pilot of Eli Stone to be wonderful, whimsical in an absurdist Field of Dreams kinda way. :)

maven said...

Right, Pharma...with Austral Air and the stuff with his Mum being worried, they might just be showing how much this has affected his life.

lost2010 said...

I predict we will find Sam residing at sunny Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute if he doesn't let go of this thing pretty soon. Even if he hasn't lost it, his family and friends all think that he has. He'll be sitting next to Leonard (or whatever the Connect 4 guy's name was).

maven said...

Well, I'm DVRing Eli Stone. I always give new series a chance!

Patch said...

I like that Pharma. Makes sense.

lost2010 said...

I watched the Eli Stone sneak peek on abc.com - they reeled me in pretty good. Kind of goofy but in a fun kind of way. I'll at least give it a shot.

memphish said...

That's what those numbers mean? Now I think that Mrs. Hawking is our mystery emailer.

maven said...

LOL, memphish!

memphish said...

Night all. I'll be playing along in real time tomorrow despite the enhanced version of TTLG airing at the same time. I'm taping that and watching it Thurs. AM so that I don't miss Project Runway, and so I can FF through the endless commercials.

Beverly said...

Sorry, ange. I stepped away from the computer for a bit, but I see MAven emailed you the info, so I won't bother.

There are 2 clues (at least) so far that just kind of "sit there". I can't really tie them to anything meaningful. I can't help but think that maybe shimmr is the username and 411151057 (or allislost) is the password for the-maxwell-group.com. I just tried it and it doesn't work, but it's not 2/1/2008 yet.

Beverly said...

The words "Rough or very rough" are emboldened in the forecast website. I'm guessing that's the important part and not so much the numbers on that site.

maven said...

Lostit: Good thoughts. There seems to be a lot of loose ends sort of hanging around this game.

Beverly said...

Thinking about the east vs west thing --- I think there is a point in space/time where east IS west and by going east you end up in the Sunda Trench, and by going to the Sunda Trench, you can end up at the island -- maybe being sucked under and being popped back up -- sort of an underwater wormhole/vortex type of thing.

It kindof reminds of the green flash and the boat going upside down and the flying dutchman from the Pirates of the Caribbean. (except this isn't the caribbean)
I think someone already mentioned that? OK I don't think it's going to be like the Pirates movie, but it did make me think of it.

Carol Dunstan said...

lostit I noticed the bold words too. They just made me think of Vincent (Ruff ruff!). And I should have thought of Leet!

As for being somewhere and heading east to get to the Sunda... well you'd do that from Sri Lanka, Africa etc etc... you'd do it from PNG too but it's the really long way around ;)

AS6 said...

Looks like we're in for some wild weather to finish this puppy.

Beverly said...

LOL Carol. you're right of course! That's not exactly the train of thought I had in mind, though.

Black Swan said...

OK, we have updates, but am I the only one who thinks they are just plain UNSATISFYING?

2 new e-mails relating to the job at Austral Air that don't advance the story, really, in terms of what's happening

A weird voice-mail from Tracey, who is sounding like a sex-kitten with nothing to say

A response e-mail from Sam to Tracey saying nothing except he has a bad feeling about what's happening

Some numbers that someone says translates to All is Lost

And, to me, the weirdest of all.... the weather report... I would like to know what "Rain or squally showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor" means. Visibility?

I guess I was just hoping for MORE in terms of pushing this story along, since it's almost over.

(end rant)

maven said...

I second your rant, Codysmom! Was that an ambiguous weather forecast or what? The conditions can be anything tomorrow! I'm just hoping this new code "All is Lost" might be part of the password to The Maxwell Group. All the other stuff with Tracey and Austral Air is just filler, IMO.

Hope we're not as let down as we were when TLE fizzled out!

Tim said...

yeah, whoever is writing the weather forecasts for oceanforecasts.com isn't doing a very good job! :)

Moderate? Good? Poor? Well, which is it?

maven said...

Here's Speaker's latest post:

"Two quick things!

One - I got this strange e-mail telling me there might be an announcement from Oceanic after LOST during the premiere of Eli Stone. I don't know what the announcement's about... it could be ANYTHING! Feel free to speculate and tell me, because I love that stuff!

Second - apparently there's going to be some never before seen LOST clips on Jimmy Kimmel Wednesday night!"

Tim said...

^^^ ah, Maven, you beat me to it. :)

maven said...

Wonder if that anouncement will be: We found the freckage of Oceanic 815! There were no survivors!

maven said...

Sorry, Tim. :)

Black Swan said...

Agreed, maven and tim!

I don't want this to "fizzle out" and I don't want to feel like I've been "Ralphied" (remember that from TLE?)

So, do we know that this will continue with the Maxwell Group site as of Feb. 1st?

Black Swan said...

OOOO, memphish.... good stuff! Thanks for sharing! And, thanks for the link (from TLC) to the Chicago Tribune article.. I'm reading it now.

maven said...

Maybe the announcement has something to do with the Maxwell Group being the ones who "found" the remains of Flight 815.

Black Swan said...

Or, maybe the announcement will be that they actually HAVE found a few survivors from flight 815, thus explaining Kate and Jack's reappearance into the world.

Black Swan said...

Actually, that really doesn't make sense with what we know, but seriously... how ARE they going to get Kate and Jack back into the "real world" after saying there were no survivors of flight 815?

Tim said...

Well, who do Kate and Jack still have left in the real world anyway? Who are they going to go connect with?

The only issue would be IDs, etc.

Black Swan said...

Tim, at the very least we saw Jack talking with Sarah (his ex-wife) in the flash-forward. Jack was working in the same hospital as he used to, so I would also assume he'd run into old friends there...

maven said...

FYI and a good laugh: My friend, Ken Levine posted a "summary" of LOST on his blog.

Patch said...

Oh Maven, that was SO funny! I'd love to make specific comments but I don't want to spoil it for the others. Thanks for the link. :)

Patch said...

On another note- I guess we won't be getting that Special Announcement from Oceanic until after Lost premieres here on the the 7th of February. It's going to drive me nuts having to stay away from you guys for a whole week until we catch up all the time, but I guess it's better than the several months we were behind you last year.

I really wish we were getting everything at the same time though.
I'll miss you guys! :(

Scoutpost said...

Oh well I know there's no one here now, but I finally was able to get on the computer late tonite. Caught up on find815- and completed the reef activity (yeah!:)) and caught up on comments. Things starting to get suspenseful!! See you all tomorrow (or actually later today).

Scoutpost said...

Oh Maven- just went and read Ken's blog. That was so funny. He's such a good writer.

Wonder if J. Wood will blog on LOST this season? I miss his blog.

Alisomniac said...

I know this has NOTHING to do with NOTHING here, but In my Lost-a-thon I just got the initial feeling Naomi will spring back to life... i know a big fricken knife hit her in the back, but John was shot in the gut--- the stomach acids, organ damage and bullet wound should have done him in, yet he recovered... the Island has mysterious ways. Also, the way they treated her death "oh well, she's dead now" is much different from the other dead losties-- more final with them (or not-so-dead as Nikki and Paolo). I have a nagging feeling she's gonna have to clue us in on Corporal Upham's baddies coming this season .
Also-- an apology. I was a LOST season 3 part 1 hater at first-- thought not enough/not good enough, not like LOST, but in re-viewing the season, each episode back-to-back, there really is a lot of info, story and tension that pulled the story through. I apologize for hte initial hatin'. And i do get the Nikki and Paolo thing... they are what humanized Sawyer a bit. Enough ranting. Especially off-topic ranting. Here's to tomorrows Find815 stuff.

Zort70 said...

After listening to the shipping forecast in the UK on Radio 4 for many years this is nothing out of the ordinary, just a simple weather report, but the bold text does leap out.

I've been to the oceanforecasts.com web site this morning and I get a holding page with a list of links with Ocean in the title.

It's going to be very difficult to stay away from the the various blogs and websites until Sunday in the UK. Here's hoping that the Oceanic announcement is also shown after the episode.

Sky in the UK have been running their adverts for lost in between programmes that consist of a typical flight information sheet that shows the 815 plane in various stages of breaking up.

oodles said...

Mornin' guys,
looks like I didn't miss too much last night. As to the weather forecast: those are standard phrases holding specific meaning to seafarers.
The first bit is obviously the wind speed.
Rough or very rough, occasionally high. refers to the sea state.
Moderate or good, occasionally poor describes visibility.
Poor: Visibility between 1,000 metres and 2 nautical miles.
Moderate: Visibility between 2 and 5 nautical miles
Good Visibility: More than 5 nautical miles

memphish said...

Lostit said: Thinking about the east vs west thing --- I think there is a point in space/time where east IS west. I like it. The fact that your compass doesn't work properly could come into play with it too.

As for Oceanic's big announcement -- I think it will be the finding of the freckage perhaps followed later this season by the announcement of finding survivors.

Kimmel's stuff is a preview of the episode I think, so if you don't want to be spoiled, don't watch. I'm confident that I can see both Kimmel's stuff and the Oceanic announcement online in a timely fashion should I need to.

As for a potential tsunami link, what if what the Christian 1 is up to in terms of "salvaging" does something to trigger the earthquake that causes the tsunami? A bit of a stretch, but remember that this group is off the radar so that they can collect goodies from Heritage sites, a big no-no.

Finally, several people have referenced the game ending 2 hours before the premier. Where does that info. come from?

Zort70 said...

If the announcement is that the freckage has been found then doesn't that give us a time issue ?

Naomi already knows that the plane was found with bodies in. She is on the island which has only had a handful of days pass since the crash.

So Naomi and whichever corporation already knew about the freckage years before it is probably going to be announced to the world.

I am I missing something ? or am I just restating the obvious that I've missed and everyone else has got ?

Zort70 said...

Of course that could prove that island time and outside world time are running at different speeds.

TakesaVillage said...

It seems like freckage would be the logical find. The time line is in question, also the location; but I'm a man of faith, not a scientist.

That reef buster was a trip.Darks'
video showed me the error of my ways.I was driving down the road looking at the speedometer instead of the highway. After numerous shipwrecks,I finally arrived at the location,(the video was a sweet reward)just in time to catch up on the emails, web site and voice mail.
It will be interesting to see how Oceanic breaks in, since most of the country won't have a clue,(npi).
Sorry for the long post,I've been out to sea for a long time.

Ange said...

Memphish: the 2 hour info comes from the "help" section of find815.com.

ular97 said...

No wonder I couldn't get thru the reef! I was doing it all wrong!!

oodles said...

If the announcement is that the freckage has been found then doesn't that give us a time issue ?

IMHO all the Sam action we are seeing takes place in 2004. There is the e-mail to him speaking of the "recent tragedy", Sam himself saying on TV "On the 22nd of September, Oceanic flight 815 took off from Sydney..." without stating a year, the fact that no airline would wait 3 years to reopen or spend 3 years searching for a missing plane, or wait 3 years to declare passengers deceased and the fact that the reference to the 2004 Tsunami was removed from the Sunda Trench map - it has not yet happened in our storyline. The mention of the 2004 Tsunami was a slip up by the game designers I believe.

Fenris said...

All is Lost written in L33t??? WTF?

That is like, really really lame. Lol.

Trendy Hacker Speak? Well I guess we know who's sending the messages now. It's Rachel Blake!

I agree about the timeline. The 2004 Tsunami was a slip and it is set right early on. No airline would wait 3 years to close the investigation as that would mean none of the family members of the survivors could claim any life insurance until it was closed.

Btw, I actually found the reef easy! Makes a change because I still haven't complete the damn mastermind thing!

Zort70 said...

So if this has already happened, in the past, who is now presenting us with the information ?

Or am I being too analytical ?

memphish said...

Fenris said: Btw, I actually found the reef easy! Makes a change because I still haven't complete the damn mastermind thing!

I'm sure that says something about our learning styles and whatever style the reef represented proved I am a class-A dummy in that kind of learning. I think I got lucky with the Mastermind thing. My luck ran out on the reef, and I'd officially like to petition for the hours back that I wasted before finally getting through that horror.

I'm sure the whole Eli Stone thing is to try to keep us LOST-aholics watching rather than moving our fingers rapidly over keyboards after the episode. Haven't they learned yet that we are tech savvy and can get the info. without having to watch a show we aren't interested in?

Reminder for everyone, Episode 4.1 is set to run until 2 minutes after the hour, so don't trust your TiVos or other recording devices. Make sure you record the final minutes by setting the time yourself.

LOL about RB-speak Fenris! :-D

oodles said...

So if this has already happened, in the past, who is now presenting us with the information ?
Good question. We've speculated about that in an earlier thread. One quite plausible suggestion was that Tracey may be the one telling us Sam's story (which would beg the question as to whatever happened to poor Sam?).
Having said that, all the videos, except Sam's diaries, are filmed like a normal live action narrative, so it feels more like the story is presented to us like the whole Lost story - by the producers (which of course it is anyway). TLE had a different feel about it since all the video's were filmed by Rachel Blake and the action took place in the present.

Capcom said...

I have a question: does it have to be that this "game/experience" is happening somehow in realtime via someone telling us the story if it really happened in 2004 "parallel" to the show? I know that TLE was supposed to be current, but maybe this game isn't. Maybe it's just supposed to be like us watching the show, only we are sort of participating in the "gameness" of it.

Well, if I don't even comprehend what I just said, no one else will either. :o) I'm not choosing either way (current with someone telling us the story vs. already happened), I'm just wondering.

ular97 said...

Capcom...HUH?? lol

ular97 said...

Does anyone realize the Black Rock vanished in 1880's and Krakatoa Volcano blew up in 1883 and caused massive waves and all kinds of ash ick, etc.?

Tess315 said...

I've always been of the mind that Sam's story is happening in 2004. I'm not quite sure of the time line as far as how it relates to the show. To me it' sort of like the missing pieces videos.

maven said...

Morning all: Glad some of you got a good laugh out of Ken's take on the show. He is a huge fan!

Here are 48 Unanswered Questions (for the remaining 48 episodes) asked by the LA Times.

I think good ole, reliable Tracey has been telling us the story of Sam and Sonya in present day. What happened to Sam occurred in late 2004 (Nov/Dec). Maybe some of the coded stuff is because the "bad guys" are still out there. LOL

Also agree that the tsunami has to come into play somehow. Removing that mention on the website was a big boo-boo and quickly removed. That part of the world was so affected by what happened there,I don't see how the producers cannot address it.

Capcom said...

Ular...heheh. :o)

For some reason, I have always been intrigued by Krakatoa. That was a lot of Nature Power!

That's a good way to categorize it Sayidsgirl, as a Missing Piece, but in game form.

memphish said...

I can answer some of the LA Times questions.

33. Are Nikki and Paolo gone for good? Yes.

32. Future Jack referencing dead father upstairs. See Matthew Fox EW interview.

31. Will LOSTies learn about Hurley's fortune -- Charlie knew and Sawyer knows from the notes in the bottle.

29. How did A Cooper get to Island -- Others brought him per Blu-Ray discs.

28. Why does the Island kill preggo-women? Possible answer given by Juliet in OOU in terms of fetus attacking mother.

24. What do the numbers mean? Check out TLE people. (Side note, it drives me crazy when people who refused to follow TLE ask this question.)

21. Swan hieroglyphics mean Underworld. Now why? I don't know.

20. How did the Others get names of survivors? Ethan, Goodwin and Mikhail

18. Isabel - dead - S3 DVD extras

17. Zack and Emma - with Cindy

15. Runway? - yes if deleted scene to be believed. Why? Don't know.

jess4ua said...

ular97- Black Rock disappeared in 1881, and there was a major Tsunami that year. We had posted all those links a while back, but I can't remember what they are now.

ular97 said...

Sorry, Jess4ua...I guess I missed them. I will go sit in the corner with my dunce cap on for not paying attention.

Twinkle said...

Doc Jensen has a "12 things that you need to remember about Lost in order to fully appreciate the premiere" Lost cheat sheet online.

jess4ua said...

ular97- LOL! It is what backs my whole theory about how the black rock got in the middle of the island. So, or course, I am going to remember that.
As far as someone else telling us this story, I think the oceanic commercials with Sam's hack is a convincing piece of evidence. I am pretty sure they were meant to be in the present. It could also explain why the timeline seems to be off. Of course, I am hoping this wasn't a major error by TPTB.
Also, I am hoping we find out in the next two days, and it doesn't end up being one of the "loose ends".

maven said...

Twinkle: I just read Doc Jensen...nothing really spoilery. Really tear-jerker about his wife at the end of the article...tissue warning!

Tess315 said...

#29 How did A. Cooper get to island?
When I heard Cooper's explanation of what happened to him I knew he didn't get there through any "magic box". It was classic JJ Abrams ala Alias. They were always running people off the road throwing them in an ambulance and drugging them on that show.
And them telling the person they were in Russia or something. I loved that show.

maven said...

I guess we're all going to be heading back over to TLC after the "ending" to Find815 on Thursday (like there's really a ending to anything LOST...LOL). Just want to re-iterate how great it's been here at Oceanic Conspiracies with all of you and especially, a big THANK YOU to Jess, Ange and Fenris for a fabulous job keeping up-to-date with everything, and providing us this great blog to get through the last 5 weeks. It's been a blast!

1. Thanks gang! Its been interesting being in charge of a blog. I'm not that sorry that it'll be over in two days. What fun, but more work than I ever imagined.
2. It is indeed safe to say our duties will end with the end of Find815. So tomorrow, unless there are surprises for us.
3. I *heart* Doc Jensen!
4. Maven: I like your idea that Tracey is telling us the story. Although I think I am starting to develop an idea that she might have more to do with this than just being Sam's info go to gal and sleep voicemail leaver.

Can I echo all the congratulations flying around to Jess, Ange and Fenris before we get to the end of one journey and the start of another.

I posted some at TLEC during the day, so all your names were so familiar when this started, so I stayed!
I will be back later, to watch, record and post!!

It is going to feel strange after today to see the RSS and see something listed for the same day and not weeks ago!

Carol Dunstan said...

I have one other suggestion for an explaination of the timeline... maybe we are supposed to pretend that we are back in 04... So we are getting Sam's stuff in "real time", the Oceanic announcements are "real time" and then we fit what we know from the show around that. If the game was supposed to be inline timewise with the show we would have been getting it during Season 3 (which wouldn't fit with them using these as lead-ins to the new season)

But I have also thought it's been like a Missing Piece

I can wrap my head around that too, Carol. One thing I did just think of though, I guess that we are supposed to pretend that the billboards in town are really back in 2004. Ouch! My head just came un-wrapped!

HOORAAAY and HUZZAAAAAH indeed to the O-C Admins for helping us along with finding 815!!!!! Spectacular job, mates!

As far as the timing on find815.com, your guess is as good as mine! It does seem to be set back in 2004, but then Sam has been logged into his myspace as recently as yesterday....?

ular97 said...

Nope, didn't know I was 108. Dummy me,I should have said I planned it that way! Give me my hat back, Village. LOL

There is an "official" Oceanic announcement at Dark's place about an upcomming special offer, and to watch for it in the Oceanic "commercial" during the Eli show after LOST (as we know).

I wonder where he got that? When I go to the Oceanic Press Release, it's the same old OCEANIC AIRLINES ANNOUNCES ITS RETURN TO THE AIRWAYS
“TAKING YOU PLACES YOU NEVER IMAGINED” announcement.

I sure do want a golden ticket like Jack has, so I guess I'll have to watch Eli

maybe we are to pretend that MySpace is 04 too... hey, we should be used to changing dates after the last game ;)

so, do you think we'll just get the clue hunt today? I wonder what the video before it will reveal.

memphish said...

DarkUFO has a press release dated today from Oceanic saying to watch Eli Stone to learn how to get a Golden Pass.

Here's the link from ABC's website.

I called Georgia Cavangh at Oceanic and she said the same thing. To learn how to get a Golden Pass watch Eli Stone.

maven said...

Speaker also has a post about the Oceanic announcement tomorrow on Eli Stone. I'm still saying it's going to be...Sorry to inform you that the wreckage of Flight 815 has been found in the Sunda Trench...all are dead...it's too deep to retrieve any bodies....Fly us to places you've only dreamt about! LOL

memphish said...

Could be Maven, but Oceanic itself is saying Golden Pass.

oodles said...

hip,hip.......
hip,hip.......
hip,hip.......
Fenris, ange,Jess We can't thank you enough.

Second (third, fourth or whatever) that! Good on ye, lads and lasses!

memphish said...

Maven, be on the lookout for this van. Sounds like most of the media has been alerted by Oceanic.

Ange said...

Memphish! Thanks so much for that link...I looked for that for about 40 min this afternoon! I'm going to put it on the front page in a min.

Also, I'm have a totally flaky moment about tomorrow. At 8pm it's a recap show then at 9 is the NEW show right? I hate when ABC confuses me by saying 2 hour season premier and then has the starting time listed at 8pm, when really they mean, don't get all excited the real new stuff is on at 9 and only 62 min.

I know Maven was confused the other day too...so that means the game portion ends at what 7pm eastern time? I feel like Jacob, "Help me...."

maven said...

Unfortunately, I'm nowhere near LAX! Too bad their not tying in this announcement with the Find815 game.

But this Get a Golden Pass idea sounds promising. Maybe we can all be flying with Jack every weekend hoping to crash back on the island! LOL

maven said...

Well, Ange it could also be 6pm est, too, if you take the recap into account! (So that would make it 3pm or 4 pm for me on pst.)

memphish said...

Ange you have the right times for tomorrow. Here's LOST's TV schedule.

Tonight -- Wed 1/30 -- Enhanced TTLG airing from 9-11 pm Eastern/Pacific

Tomorrow -- Thurs 1/31 -- Clip show -9 Eastern/Pacific; Episode 4.1 -- 9-10:02 Eastern/Pacific Oceanic Announcement sometime between 10:02-11 Eastern/Pacific

maven said...

Totally OT: Did you guys see the lady with the 15" waist on "Oprah" today (watching it now...ewwwww)?

Scoutpost said...

OOOOh Golden Pass! I want one! Ya'll know I had a bad attitude when the Apollo bar giveaways didn't come anywhere near Phoenix (if it weren't for Maven sending me one I'd have been really put out). Imagine what I'll be like if I don't get a Golden Pass- LOL. I hope it isn't "be one of the first 100 callers" type thing otherwise I'll never get one. Which leads me to this...Hubby went out of town overnight, but said he won't be back until late tomorrow. What?!! How could he do this to me? Did he not realize tomorrow night is the night I've been waiting 8 long months for?! So, I'll record it, but doubt I'll be at TLC until late to discuss/read about it. :(

Back to Find815- I've got absolutely no clue as to the timing of this game. I hope they haven't made a big mess up with the dates.

maven said...

Guess we'll know when the game ends after the update today at 6pm pst. The next update will kick in then and we'll know what time it's ending tomorrow!

maven said...

Yea, Scoutpost: Hope ABC marketing takes into account the west coasters and it's not the first 100 to get the Golden Pass (because, of course, we won't be seeing the announcement until sometime after 1AM est).

memphish said...

How inconsiderate Scoutpost. I'm moving our Wii to a different television from our main, big HD one so that Hubby will go play Call of Duty and leave me to watch and chat online in peace. :D

maven said...

OMG, Memphish! We just got the Playstation3 (because of the Blue-Ray) and the first game my Hubby bought was Call to Duty 4! LOL At least Hubby will be watching the show with me!

Ellen said...

Memphish-re:the schedule you posted above, is that eastern time and pacific time?
If so, according to abcmedianet, the schedule for eastern time is:
Wed. 1/30 8-10 pm TTLG and
Thurs. 1/31 8-9p Recap ep
9-10p S4E1
10-11p Eli Stone
Link is here

memphish said...

Ellen, I've gotten mixed messages on tonight's episode, but the most recent, and I checked it just before I posted from both my cable company and my local affiliate, is that Wife Swap will proceed the 2 hour enhanced TTLG. Everyone should check their local listings for tonight though.

Ellen said...

Memphish-absolutely!!
Thanks, I was getting confused!!:D
xxoo

Scoutpost said...

Well after reading Doc Jensen, I guess I'll forgive my hubby for leaving me with the kids while LOST premieres. (He just better not ever do that again! LOL)

maven said...

On my Directv HD-DVR is shows that the recap show and the premiere are both set to record on my "To Do List". However, in the guide for tomorrow it just shows the "record" icon only on the re-cap and not the premiere. Is that just because both shows are labeled "Lost" and the DVR will record the 3 hour block? (This is even after I've set it to record the whole series...not just tomorrow night.)

maven said...

Sorry. That was supposed to be *2 hour block.

maven said...

Phew! I was getting nervous for a while with Blogger down...turns out it was only for scheduled maintenance!

Capcom said...

The Oceanic van says: "Be on the lookout for more odd vehicles and signage, possibly near airports."

I am not making any more useless 40 mile round trip drives to the friggin airport!!!!! Well, OK. :-p

maven said...

FYI: There's a new post at TLC for tonight's TTLG! Thanks to Dennis (or who ever posted it! I posted some info over there from Dark's about some cross-over promotion between ABC and "The Vantage Point" movie tomorrow during the premiere.

ular97 said...

Did anyone try the calendar at the press release site? I clicked on the 30th and 31st. I got a tv schedule. Where it said press release on the schedule, I clicked and got some interesting information about what the enhancements would be. Of course you probably already told about this while I was off line to make dinner. lol

Ellen said...

yep-wife swap on the east coast @ 8pm- :( really hate that show...
hmmph!
xxoo

Capcom said...

Me too Ellen! I had the VCR ready to go. I'm just taping it in case these info-thingies that will be with it are interesting.

maven said...

Well, as soon as the game is over for the night, I'm not going to stay on-line after 6PM pst, in case there's something earth-shattering on the enhanced TTLG. Unless you guys can promise we'll only talk about Find815 here, and you'll post stuff about tonight's show over at TLC (pretty please!)

Capcom said...

Sure Maven, we've got a new thread there now! zzzzzzzzzip! :-|

Ellen said...

sure, Maven! No problem, I was just there!
Cap-I'm taping too...
xxoo

Ange said...

Maven said...Unless you guys can promise we'll only talk about Find815 here, and you'll post stuff about tonight's show over at TLC (pretty please!)

I think that's a great idea! I hate flopping through two sets of comments and since this site will become an archive once Find815 is over, I think it makes sense to show comment at TLC!

Also, I really am going to try to get the game new post up in a timely manor, BUT I also want to watch the show tonight too. If we get a clue hunt it'll be SOME kind of hard to watch, play, hunt, screen cap, and post. So, unless anyone objects, it might be later than usual tonight.

ular97 said...

There is no count down clock on my find815 page now. Shouldn't there be?

maven said...

Ular97: I have a countdown clock (42 minutes).

Thanks so much Ange, Capcom, Ellen for trying to keep these two things separate! Although, I'm sure most of you will be watching the show and will play the game another time. I might be talking to myself! LOL

Capcom said...

I'm going to keep checking back about the game during the show. Since we've seen it, I just have to make sure to be around to pause out the commercials. And yeah, I still do it the old fashioned way.

It's so easy to jump back and forth between sites, so we should be able to keep things separate. It's not like we'll be going, "OMGOMG!" for the show on the second time around. :o)

maven said...

Let's hope not, Capcom! Although in the promos they keep saying "New Revelations"!

Capcom said...

I really can't wait to see how and when the game is going to end. They really have us on the edge with the cliffhanger of something happening after they change the coordinates and then.......yikes.

Ellen said...

me too capcom! I am a total geek, but I just don't have the funds to invest in new "things" for now...
s'ok, tho, I can still watch LOST and play Find815!! (and still chat with you guys!!!) That's all I care about as far as technology is concerned. At least I do have a 42" plasma to watch! ;D
xxoo

maven said...

FYI: Speaker has just posted some pics of the Oceanic Vans. There's a bumper sticker that says "How Am I Driving? Do I Look Like I'm Lost?" LOL

Capcom said...

Thanks Maven! Ditto, Ellen! Just enough to keep us going.

Twinkle said...

Clue hunt is up!

Patch said...

Oh boy, the story continues at 4am my time!

maven said...

Story continues in 15 hours - 9AM PST. Sonya and Sam met on the island of Tanna in the South Pacific!

maven said...

I don't see a Clue Hunt, only the video, Twinkle.

In the video there are tons of glitches, interference with audio!

Anonymous said...

anybody watching the re-airing of the season 3 finale ? it has little blips about the episode . they're cute .

oh and abc, nice way to get us to watch your "eli stone" premiere . clever marketing indeed .

memphish said...

My S4 clue is linking to the wrong game at ABC's site.

memphish said...

Can someone post a link to the right page at ABC? I'm getting the Chapter 2 game, and can't get it on board, so to speak.

Twinkle said...

Hmmm...I didn't complete the reef activity so when I looked under Story So Far the clue hunt was there. Now I'm stuck because the link to the network site takes me to the Black Rock activity from week 2. Solving that doesn't give me the right clue word.

memphish said...

I had the same problem even when I made it through the reef Twinkle.

Twinkle said...

Ooops! Interns again.

oodles said...

Same problem, and I did complete the reef.... sigh

Twinkle said...

Bet they're watching the expanded TTLG too. Any Yahoo7's got it out there?

Twinkle said...

Oh, the reef thing was just why I had to look under Story So Far to find the clue hunt. I didn't know if I pressed "Continue story" if it would take me to the new stuff or the clue hunt.

After the clue hunt, it's still linking me to the Black Rock trivia game.

maven said...

I've only found 2 of the clues. I did get on ABC and did the game...which is getting the ship through storm clouds. Pretty easy...did it on second try. Got the PW. But I need one more clue on the deck and where do I click to enter PW? There's a map superimposed under the roof of the deck...think it's Indonesia.

memphish said...

So do we think the video comes before or after the clue hunt? The video works even without completing the clue hunt. That is if you can get the site to work. The whole thing just hung up on me.

thewonderllama said...

darnit! i'm getting the same thing with the black rock trivia! avast!

Patch said...

I got the clue but my progress is showing I still have an activity to do.

Have you guys had any luck yet?

Twinkle said...

Now that I'm sitting here listening to the ARG ambient music over and over again while waiting for the interns to get the right game up, I have to say that I like the arrangement. Good going, whoever worked on the music.

memphish said...

Patch, the only activity we've had is the wretched reef activity from Monday night. There's still one that hasn't been released.

Still can't get anywhere but Ch. 2's puzzle.

thewonderllama said...

hey guys, if it's sending you to the black rock quiz from chapter 2, go here for the correct challenge.

Tess315 said...

I went to the abc lost site and clicked on find815.It gives you a list of all the games. Scroll through them to the last one.
Then play the game that way.

Erin said...

The Aussie site is working fine for the clue - but things keep getting twitchy for me on the main 815 site. *shakes fist*

maven said...

Some of you are getting the BR trivia game on ABC? That's so weird. I got the storm clouds thingy right away. Still cannot find anything else to click on in the desk area except two things I found. I do have the ABC PW!

Erin said...

Also, the game was really lame :S

Twinkle said...

Hmm...is there a way to navigate to the game from the ABC site?

oodles said...

Maven, could you post the URL for the game, please, pretty please?

Patch said...

Thanks Memphish.

I can't see myself getting up at 4am to do it though...*lol*

Erin said...

Here is a link to the game on the Australian site.

Tess315 said...

game

Carol Dunstan said...

llama has posted the link to the game. I'm having heaps of trouble with 815 too... that game was so easy after the freaking reef!

maven said...

Here's tonight's game on ABC

Tess315 said...

carol
No kidding I thought oh no not again. But it was a piece of cake.

maven said...

Okay, finished everything! Apparently, there were glitches on Find815 for a while and some things weren't clickable at first. Now they are! One spooky thing in the clue hunt on deck!

A ton of overlay stuff, too. I have trouble reading that kind of stuff, but there does appear to be a map on the ceiling of Indonesia.

Twinkle said...

Thanks, WonderLlama!! I bet if I had refreshed and tried the clue hunt over it would have given me the right link.

maven said...

Also, finally got to see the whole front of Sam's shirt....
-79-

Now Fenris can sleep! LOL

memphish said...

Thanks so much for the link Wonderllama. That game was so lame esp. compared to the last one. I was almost willing to take hits towards the end just to speed it up, but I didn't.

Twinkle said...

Looks like all that's left are the video and another activity!

Tess315 said...

Wonder what all the glitches is Sam's video will turn out to be?

memphish said...

I'm sure there was tons in the video. At this point -- less than 24 hours -- I don't even want to know what that new clue means. I've waited 8 months; I can a wait a few more hours.

oodles said...

Thanks for the link to the game. Now oodles can go to sleep as well...
It's 2:40 am... I'm sure there'll be screengrabs when I get up again.
Good night.

memphish said...

I couldn't help but laugh hysterically at the idea that the Captain and Talbot are willing to let Sam pilot the ROV. Dude's an IT tech, and not a very good one. Now you're going to give him equipment that only a handful of people in the world are checked out on?

maven said...

There is an island called Tanna. It's also called Vanuatu. Doesn't appear to be as isolated as Sam says.

Tim said...

OK, sorry, that last game was kind of lame!

Who keeps letting Sam navigate the boat, anyway? :)

Tess315 said...

The site updates at 1:00 pm EST? Is that right?

maven said...

I knew we were going to have a visual of what they've found. Bet that will be our activity! And WE are going to see the freckage! Noticed, too, that Sam called it sonar instead of radar (which is what the reef thingy was)! LOL

Tim said...

Okay, there's one part of the overlay that I swear looks like the Mouth of Sauron! Man.

I also love the little surprised look Sam gives when he says they found the Black Rock.

Tess315 said...

oops 11:00 am tomorrow EST.?
